I decided I wouldn't bombard you with all the weird commentary I made at the beginning and the end with the other deviations. :L
I made this yesterday, but I'll leave you the back story on another deviation.
"Needle Strike". Self-explanatory. XD Though I think the needles could be improved on. It actually looks pretty weird to me. But ah well. You're the judge, so make the verdict.
When I made this yesterday (while playing Counter-Strike: Source at the same time, too), it only took about 45 minutes to render. Compare this to some of the other deviations I made in the same day (search in my gallery, lol).
Afterwards, adjusted the background, brightness, contrast and overall lighting with PDN.
TOOLS:
Apophysis 2.09 --- 50 mins (fractal generation)
Paint.NET v3.36 ---- 5 mins (background colour and touch-ups)
